    • Weaving: Fibres are woven to form a continuous tape by means of a high-speed needle loom. The tensile strength of woven webbing is determined by the yarn count, and high quality premium synthetic webbing is generally specified between 500D and 1680D Denier.

    • Cutting & Edge Finishing: This process can utilize computerised hot-knives or rotary cutters cutting tapes to exact lengths. Most synthetic tapes are then have their raw edges sealed simultaneously by the blade. Sealing occurs at temperatures between 150°c to 200°c . Cotton canvas cannot be heat-sealed and thus has to have edges of folded & stitched or rubberized with bound edging tapes, made from specialized fabrics.
